The mission of the Missing You Foundation is simple. We vow to assist law enforcement agencies with funding and volunteers to search for and rescue missing persons. We vow to assist the families of the missing to get through the hardest time that life has presented to them. We vow to keep the media informed of relevant case information so as to promote regular and widespread coverage until our missing comes home.
We vow to keep the lines of communication open between law enforcement, families and media, because we believe that together, working as a team, it optimizes our chances of bringing home America ’s missing.
Missing You Foundation is a Michigan based 501c3 Organization with offices in Michigan and North Carolina and Tennessee.
Founded in 2001, after the death of our Founder’s Mother in 1997, Missing You Foundation has worked several hundred cases. We provide Search and Rescue resources, volunteers, Dog Handlers, equipment, administration, and act as a liaison between Law Enforcement and Media, Media and Families and if necessary, Law Enforcement and Media.Missing You serves as a liaison between the families and the media and the law enforcement. Missing You provides Command Search Centers including financial funding, manpower with volunteers and the necessary training, and the necessary materials to conduct, set up and plan the searches.
Missing You provides to the families fliers, buttons and dedicated phone lines set up for tips which will always be turned over to the proper authorities.
Missing You provides a website, professionally designed for each missing person. We will house these websites on our site, free of charge. We will also handle keeping the case information up to date on each case.
Missing You establishes a relationship with all of the law enforcement jurisdictions throughout the state and work to ensure that your case is not set on the back-burner.
Missing You establishes a relationship with the media outlets throughout the state to ensure that the cases get regular and widespread coverage.
Missing You provides trauma counseling, bereavement counseling and extended therapy at the appropriate times for the missing and the families of the missing, free of charge.
Missing You provides seminars on how to keep our children safe, literature on missing persons cases, as well as educational information that pertains to helping law enforcement stay current on technology that assists in locating missing persons and for media to maintain mainstream media exposure for each and every case.
